PT Academy (Multitrax Group)

This was the first corporate site I created in ASP.NET/C# using Visual Studio 2010. Working with marketing staff and company directors, the site was the first step in promoting a new personal trainer school for the Multitrax Group.

Feedback:
"...Richard has an excellent eye for detail and always knows how to deliver exactly what we want. I have worked with Richard over the past year on various projects and campaigns and I can say that his ability to listen coupled with his efficient working style and abilty to see beyond the obvious is something that has been an asset to us and as a result our projects have always been successful. Would easily recommend him to anyone."

Stella Asia Consonni - Photographer

Stella wanted her photography to be the main focal point on the site, so the only graphic used was the new logo. The logo's in a hand-written style to accompany both the photography and analogue typewriter style Courier New font. @Font-face was used with the text and I sourced a developer to build functionality for Stella to easy upload and edit her own images, via an admin panel. The gallery plugin is Flash based called Simpleviewer. Her portfolio images are currently being added.

Prepaid Cabs

A design only package for Prepaid Cabs (website, logo, slogan, adverts). Content would be lower in earths crust or would appear in pop-ups when parts of the image are clicked on. The site was designed with company expansion in mind, where eventually, each city would have it's own theme and city snap-shot. To cut costs for Imran, the header was created to be used for the promotional advert as well.

Feedback:
"...I asked Rich to come up with a completely new design for my website, and it's amazing what he did. I'm a back end developer and don't really get into the front end side, but have worked with enough front end guys to know that Rich is the best of them. Amazing, original and can't wait to start implimenting this!"

Tamarinds Bangladeshi Restaurant

I came up with the theme for this right after cooking from one of my mum's 70's cookbooks. With massive investment in new luxury apartments being injected into Woolston and with two main competitors, I wanted the Tamarinds website to appeal to the young professional living close by who might ordinarily travel into Southampton city centre to eat out.

Feedback:
"...Richard is very organized, efficient and competent. He has an excellent rapport with people and I'm extremly satisfied with his work and the support he has given me. I highly recommend Richard for any position or endeavor that he may pursue, he will be a valuable asset for any organization. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me."

Peter Bailey PAT Testing

Achieving first in the Google search engine results under 'PAT testing Southampton', the site's content is all on one page. It has a fixed navigation that uses jQuery to scroll to each element.

Feedback:
"...was amazed at the speed Richard produced the site, achieving number one in the Google rankings for my trade...I'm so impressed that I'm going to ask Richard to produce another site for me. The price is unbeatable, and the results are excellent!"

The Soul Cellar

One of the concepts for the Soul Celler; this was a more blog style design with a bit more of an urban theme to illustrate the location of the venue.

The Soul Cellar

The Soul Cellar's previous site was difficult to navigate with accessibility issues. I made the content and information really easy to find, giving them a simple menu of up-coming shows they can easily update to better promote each night. The up-coming shows page on their previous site was by far the most visited page, here it is the landing page. The red background closely resembles the Soul Cellar's thick red curtains hung behind the main stage. (NOTE: This site is now under new management).

Feedback:
"...would happily reccommend Richard to undertake website commisions. He recently undertook the construction of soulcellar.com and completed the work in a timely fashion, liasing with us fully during this process and making the adjustments needed in line with our requests."

Little Boat Recruitment

The idea here is to have the site built in the recognisable 'Web 2.0' Twitter style, promoting their Twitter account which they rely on for networking purposes.

Fusion Computer Software

Content-rich websites like Fusion are usually associated with specialist and large corporate firms that require this style of website. The design demonstrates the typical format.

TreeTop Tree Surgeons

A simple and fun design to make an impression on the user with the aim of creating a recommendation and generating new business for TreeTop Ltd.

Classifiedads

A colourful, clean and contemporary redesign of Gumtree.com. The Polaroid brand has always had one of my favourite company logos, so I wanted a multicoloured format that would compliment this type of site with multiple search options.

GoGo Insurance Brokers

It is difficult for an insurance broker to create a unique online identity in a market as competetive as the one it's in. GoGo.com eliminates the over complicated visual impact current sites have, replacing it with a super-easy-to-navigate interface that will be remembered and hopefully revisited and recommended...

Peapod Internet Dating

User-friendly, visually clean internet dating site using vertical banner ads to generate revenue for Peapod that has a no-fee membership policy. JQuery is used in the navigation with the hovers and page markers.

Swansea College/Coleg Abertawe

Distinctive visual redesign for Swansea College, something a bit more unorthodox and bold to attract the most dynamic and vibrant school leavers from in and around Swansea. Scrolling text is used to display latest news.

Panna Cotta Fine Art

An automotive art dealers, e-commerce site with a jQuery horizontal scroll to showcase the paintings, posters and print. Navigation buttons are drop-down menus and 'Gallery' is where the user has multiple search options including artist name, genre, car manufacturer, year etc. The big '+' (add to basket) button is to encourage impulse buying (which shopping channels rely on). It is located next to the most used button on the site, the 'next image' button.
